Opabinia

Opabinia is one of the rarest fossils ever found inin world today . There are less than twenty specimens of this creature, and archaeologists hope to find more in the future. Fossil opabinia known mostly found in the Burgess Shale in British Columbia. Opabinia not what you imagine when you think about the prehistoric era. Species known to live on the ocean floor has a soft body with a length of about 7 cm. They have a head with five eyes and lower lip that juts into. This creature also has a segmented body that ended in fan-shaped tail.
